Growin up a country girl!

This weekend has been just what I've been longing for. NO PLANS! ha. LOVE weekends like that. I have been able to do some much needed spring cleaning. It feels so good to have a clean house. I don't know about you but I get all out of sorts when my house is a mess and it pretty much stays in a mess with a 6 yr old and 2 yr old. This morning Stewart (my husband) decided he was going to go "run dogs" which means taking his beagle dogs to a rabbit pin and letting them chase them through the thick briars. Well, this morning Addison insisted on going with him. So I dressed her up in her huntin attire. Thought I'd share a couple of pics.

Ain't she cute,lol:)

Addison with dada

Oh, wait I almost forgot I have a video as well...

We did go out to eat to Red Lobster Friday night which to be honest wasn't my favorite. Tonight I went to my neice's dance recital. She danced to "On the Good Ship Lollipop" which was the same song I danced to at her age. It was so sweet. I can't wait for Addison to start:)

Ty got a shiner!

Yep! That's right!! A Shiner!!! Ty had a baseball game tonight and was playing 2nd base. A pop fly was hit into the air and he was in just the right position to catch it. BUT....the sun got in his eyes, blinded him and the ball hit right beside his eye. He did cry a little which he never does unless he is really hurt. So OF COURSE I had to run out on the field to check on him. He was fine and played his little heart out the rest of the game. It's really swollen so I'm anxious to see what it will look like in the morning.

Here is the best picture we could get:

What a blessing....

we received this past Friday when my cousin Alicia and her husband Champ had this precious baby boy:
Mr. Thomas Wyatt Schockley

Ty (my oldest) holding Thomas for the first time. Oh, I can't wait to see what all Ty is going to teach this little man;)

Congrats you two! I can't wait to spoil him and give all the candy in the world. Just as you have done Ty all these years.

Love ya!

My Pot of Gold:)

God has already blessed me with my "Pot of Gold";)

I had planned on taking alot more picures on Halloween but I left my Camera at our second stop. We had lots of fun. The kids had so much fun getting the candy, especially Addison since this was only her 2nd Halloween but the first that she actually new what was going on;)
We did have to end the evening sooner than expected because Ty developed flu-like symptoms which praise the Lord were gone by Sunday morning.

Is anyone still out there???

Ha! I know I haven't blogged in forever. Sorry about that. I am going to try and get back into this. I've got tons to catch you up on. First off I have a question....I want to change the name of my blog. When I first started it I couldn't think of a good name. I don't really like what it is now so any suggestions would be great:) Well...that will be it for now but I promise to update soon. Love to all.

There's Nothin' Like Family

There are often times when people can't believe how close my extended family is on my mother's side. I am super close with my 3rd, 4th and even possibly 5th cousins if there is such a thing. Tonight, my third cousin Alicia is getting married and I'm so happy for her. Ty is going to be in the wedding and I can't wait to see how that goes over. Alicia didn't want a big wedding and had thought about going off somewhere to get married but her big sister Amanda insisted on planning her a wedding here at home. So she is going to have a small wedding in our local park with the reception at our church. Last night the family all gathered to help prepare the food for the reception. Here are a few pictures:

A picture of the Bride to be :)

This is another cousin, Tabby, that I love dearly. She spoils all of us kids, small and big, and we all love it!

Emily (yet another cousin) and I made this. We saw a picture of it and created it. Isn't is pretty! I say we should open a business. ha!

Well until next time, Amber
